PROJECT SUMMARY:
Charlotte County Fire & EMS Vehicle Maintenance Facility (VMF) is a 18,000 GSF facility for the Charlotte County Fire & EMS Department. The facility houses all vehicle maintenance functions of the Fire Department. Also included at the site is a separate EMS storage.

The vehicle bays (21'-6" clear on the inside) accommodate the largest of the department's vehicles on lifts. Offices and storage for the vehicle maintenance function are centrally located in the VMF building. Twelve (12) bay openings (6 on each side of the building) allow access to the 80'-0" wide building for servicing of all vehicles.

This project is the first in Charlotte County to respond to the newly enacted Charlotte County Commercial Design Standards. These standards require a project to enhance the basic aesthetics of a pre-engineered metal building.

The structural system is a pre-engineered metal building. The project has been designed to the wind speed resistance of Miami-Dade requirements.

This is a Design/Build project with Wilder Architecture and Mathews/Taylor Construction Company.
